Drive to Cortalim and board local boats that will take you up the River Zuari into the mangrove infested back waters of its canals, you will see salt water crocodiles, basking in the sun at very close quarters as well as a variety of migratory as well as native species of birds.

Then proceed to the Spice Village at Khandepar, Ponda, which is one of the biggest farms in Goa, with a cultivated area of 55 acres where you will be taken on a botanical tour and demonstrations followed by a variety of snacks, local delicacies, fresh tropical fruits and refreshments.

This Spice Village also has an Ayurveda Shop which prescribes medicines for all types of ailments as well as one can buy all types of herbs & medicinal spice. It is also the only place in Goa where vanilla pods are grown and can be purchased.
