Drive from hotel to Mardol, a typical backward Hindu village with its traditional life style and local markets, then visit Shri. Shantadurga

Temple at Kavlem, dedicated to the Goddess who mediates between Vishnu & Shiva. The temple is set amidst picturesque surroundings and is not so frequented by tourists.

Then proceed to the Spice Village at Khandepar, Ponda, which is one of the biggest farms in Goa, with a cultivated area of 55 acres where you will be taken on a botanical tour and demonstrations followed by a variety of snacks, local delicacies, fresh tropical fruits and refreshments.

This Spice Village also has an Ayurveda Shop which prescribes medicines for all types of ailments as well as one can buy all types of herbs & medicinal spice. It is also the only place in Goa where vanilla pods are grown and can be purchased.
